Every strong property build starts right beneath your feet, and I have spent decades making sure the ground is ready for whatever you plan to build on it.
I founded Redwood City Grading back in 2003, bringing over 23 years of hands-on excavation, land clearing, and site preparation experience to properties across Redwood City, San Mateo, Woodside, Atherton, and Hillsborough. Building on my 26+ years of trade experience, I stay involved on every job site to ensure your earthwork is engineered for long-term safety and stability.
I work directly alongside homeowners, contractors, and local engineers to keep your project on schedule, easy to understand, and completely transparent on pricing from day one. When I turn off the excavators, I am all about spending quality time with my wife and three kids, whether we are heading out for weekend camping trips, riding trails in our four-person side-by-side, or hitting the slopes for winter snowboarding.
If you want your next building project to stand on a rock-solid foundation, I look forward to partnering with you to bring your vision to life.

Behind every solid frame and level concrete pour is ground that was properly prepared first. We take the raw, sloping, or waterlogged land across our area and shape it into a stable foundation that your building crew can actually rely on.
Our team brings in CAT excavators, heavy rollers, and compact track loaders to take on the tough site work. That might mean hauling out 50 cubic yards of subsoil for a new ADU pad up near Farm Hill Road, carving out hillside benches along Woodside Road, or laying down subsurface drainage lines near Redwood Shores. We follow every civil plan, soil report, and San Mateo County permit rule to the letter, taking your dirt from the first heavy cut down to that final quarter-inch finish grade.

We operate CAT excavators, compact track loaders, and heavy rollers to execute deep cuts and pad leveling efficiently across high-density Peninsula lots.

From 50-cubic-yard ADU pads in Farm Hill to hillside benches along Woodside Road, every cut-and-fill strictly follows civil plans and soil reports.

Gregory Rocha delivers 23 years of direct trade expertise to ensure your site meets all San Mateo County permits and drainage requirements.
